Tonkean, a software startup, nabbed $50 million in a series B round led by Accel. CEO Sagi Eliyahu says that the proceeds will be put toward scaling up the company’s hiring efforts across engineering and go-to-market teams.

Eliyahu and Offir Talmor met while serving in the Israel Defense Forces and created Tonkean. Tonkean’s R&D team in Israel was mostly comprised of former IDF personnel. Thins company is now based in San Francisco, California.

Tonkean’s workflow designer includes drag-and-drop modules that may be added or removed as needed. Customers may use it to send data and actions to individuals in real time through email, Slack, or Microsoft Teams, as well as measure and manage performance across processes, people, and systems. Furthermore, they can automate manual processes such as financial request triage.
