Robotic process automation has revolutionised the business world by automating repetitive tasks, freeing humans to focus on more complex tasks. Vancouver-based startup Dooly has raised $20 million to expand its business, which has already attracted customers from enterprise-focused software companies such as Airtable, Asana, Intercom, Contentful, Vidyard, BigCommerce, Liftoff and CrowdRiff. Dooly’s goal is to make sales software more useful for salespeople by taking the pain out of entering data into systems.
The funding was raised in two tranches: a $3.3 million seed round led by Boldstart Ventures and BoxGroup, and a $17 million Series A led by Addition with Boldstart, BoxGroup, Battery Ventures, Mantis and SV Angel. Other investors include Daniel Dines and Brandon Deer of UiPath, Allison Pickens, Zander Lurie of SurveyMonkey, Jay Simons, ex-CEO of Atlassian, Harry Stebbings and other unnamed investors. Boldstart’s Ed Sim will join Dooly’s board of directors.
