The ideal is to work in what you love, but unfortunately not everyone has that joy. If this is your case, I recommend you to love what you do. That’s right, look for the positive side of your current job and train yourself to discover aspects that you surely didn’t know.

Mobile notifications is the main source of distraction that delays the delivery of work. You think you’re just going to look at the mail you’ve been sent, but you end up looking at your social networks and WhatsApp statuses.

The best thing to do is to turn off notifications on your device during work periods. Leave them for when you’ve finished at least four pomodoros. Now, keep in mind that if during the break you look at a message that forces you to switch tasks, you will lose focus on the current work. Therefore, if task switching can wait until you finish your work, it is best to leave it until the end.

A useful recommendation is to determine a schedule for checking emails and messages. This way we will avoid losing concentration during working hours. Remember that if the message is a new task you should add it to the task list for the current day or the next day. However, if the task involves a couple of minutes, it is not necessary to add it but to do it at the same time.

This means evaluating your schedule, if it is flexible enough or if adjustments need to be made.
