What is Google Buzz?

The largest search engine on the Internet, Google, launched a new communication system called Google Buzz. But how much do you know about it and its functions, because now we tell you. First of all, Google buzz is a service that integrates different social networks, the most known and used, such as Twitter, Facebook, Picasa, Youtube and Flicker. That is, everything in one place.

What is Google Buzz for?

This means that from your gmail account, you can update your status in the different social networks if you wish, and also you don't have to be opening so many tabs in your browser with each of these applications. Then its main objective is to reduce the load and simplify things for you so you have everything at hand. In fact, its main objective is to "organize the world's social information".

Google Buzz features

Ability to create an automatic list of friends, as it automatically adds all your contacts or people to whom you have ever sent emails from Gmail.
Share information, here you can choose between public and private privacy options. If it is public, there is the possibility that the information you provide will be indexed in the Google search engine.

Inbox Integration.

It has an interesting filtering system, so you can see the information you are interested in.

Possibility of sharing images in the style of Picassa.

Integration with Twitter, Flickr, YouTube, Google Reader and Picassa.

Special integration with Google Maps, you will be able to visualize in a map the location of the messages written in Buzz that are closer to your location.

It has a mobile version, with voice recognition, where you can publish a status update just by recording the message, without using the keys.

How to use Google Buzz

Trackers automatically: When you first start using Buzz, you realize that those you write regularly are your "followers", it's something you can modify and define who to follow and who not.

Followers? Followed? This is a service that resembles Twitter, people you follow and people who follow you. With Google Buzz you can stop following it or block it, Buzz will also suggest you to add someone, which you can do or not.

Sites to connect: You can share blogs, so your followers can read the latest posts you write, you can also include photos from Flickr or Picasa, videos from

YouTube and even your Twitter account.

Profile: When Google's profile appeared, it seemed to make no sense but Google knows what it's doing and now with Google Buzz it has become the must-see site to find out who is following you or want to follow you. If you want to delete a contact in Buzz, then go to "Edit Profile", then "Show the list of people I follow and who follow me".

Comments: You can also comment on every message your contact makes or yourself, such as FriendFeed. To make a comment, click on the "Comment" link. You can also delete comments made by other users in your Buzz or your own comments.

I like it / I don't like it anymore: Just like Facebook, at Buzz we can tell everyone that we like it. If you want to do that then click on "Like", that way it will be recorded in the post, if you change your mind, click on "I don't like it anymore" and your name will be removed.

Reply by chat: Click on the link of the same name to send a chat message to the author of the update.

Send by Mail: Click the down arrow to the right of the post and select Email. You will see a new Gmail message with the content of the update as the subject and in the body of the message.

Mute: You may find it annoying to read so many Buzz messages and some may be considered SPAM, so to stop seeing them, enable the keyboard shortcuts and press the "m" key when you read them. This way, buzz will no longer appear in your inbox.

Links: Each buzz we publish has its own unique link. To share a conversation on other pages or social networks, click the down arrow to the right of the post and select Link to this buzz.

RSS: If we want to put our buzz updates on our blog, Facebook or other media, Google Buzz adds RSS to export them.

Replies: As in Twitter, you just have to write @ in front of a user's name to send them a buzz directly. This will automatically appear in the inbox.

Mobiles: Finally, the experience on the cell phone or cell phone is one of the most interesting uses of Buzz, as it allows us to visualize on a map all the buzz published in our area of influence, with the possibility of commenting on them right there.
