Framework, the company known for its modular and customizable laptops, has announced a fourth round of iterative updates and upgrade options for its Framework Laptop 13. The latest improvements include new Intel Meteor Lake Core Ultra processors with Intel Arc dedicated GPUs, lower prices for the AMD Ryzen 7000 and 13th-gen Intel editions, and a new display with a higher 2880x1920 resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

The Core Ultra boards will be available in three CPU options, with prices starting at $899 for a pre-built or DIY model. Upgrading from an older Intel Framework board will require a switch to DDR5 RAM, which Framework will offer at a premium. The new 13.5-inch display, with its rounded corners, is a $130 upgrade over the standard display.

In addition to the hardware updates, Framework has also made progress on addressing the software and firmware issues that have been reported on the laptop. The company has released new drivers and BIOS updates for the Ryzen, 11th-gen Intel, and 12th-gen Intel versions of the Framework Laptop 13 and 16.

Overall, the latest round of upgrades aims to keep the Framework Laptop 13 competitive in the rapidly evolving laptop market, with a focus on improved performance, lower prices, and better display quality.
