Bambuser, a Swedish live video streaming service, has announced the integration of Facebook fan pages, a feature that has been a popular request for the past three months since it allowed live broadcasting directly to Facebook’s wall feed. The service is free for consumers and non-profit organisations and is ad-free, challenging giants such as Justin.tv and Ustream.
Bambuser’s solution allows broadcasts to be pushed directly to the wall and fan page feed without any additional clicks. The Facebook integration can be done in the Bambuser settings via Facebook Connect.
The service has users in over 150 countries and supports live broadcasting from over 200 mobile devices and desktop browsers.
The Facebook Wall integration has increased the number of channels created per week, with Facebook now accounting for around 30% of all videos viewed on Bambuser. Bambuser’s iPhone app made it into the top ten downloads in the Swedish App Store and the app increased the number of channels created per week to 6,000.
